Belgium to France - Antwerp

In 1796 all monasteries were closed down by French occupiers and much of the historical records of St Pauls Church were lost. By 1802 it was bought back by the Antwerp city council and since then been used again as a parish church. Today this impressive church houses paintings by Rubens, Van Dyck and Jordaens, over 200 sculptures and Flemish baroque style altars.
